World Diabetes Day events in South Africa

World Diabetes Day is on Thursday 14th November and we’re compiling all the events around South Africa on the day and in the weeks following. Here’s what we’ve been sent so far:

KwaZulu/Natal

DESSA KZN (the Diabetes Education Society) will be at Ahmed Al Khadi Hospital on Thursday 14th November from 9am to 4pm. One-on-one discussions on footcare, healthy eating and general diabetes education, with dieticians and diabetes nurse educators.

Western Cape

A family picnic for youth with Type 1 diabetes, and their families and friends.

A memorial walk to support all those with diabetes, in memory of those who have lost family and friends to diabetes.
