Sweet Life Community Walk

Let’s gather together for the Sweet Life Community Walk

Join us to celebrate November and the Sweet Life community for the #SweetLifeWalk. Walk, run, wheelchair or just join in for the morning to soak up the vibes.

“We’re all in this together” is the most powerful message we share as a community.
It’s time for the Sweet Life Community Walk.

When?

Saturday, 18th November 2023 at 9am.

Where?

We will set up 3-5km Sweet Life Walk events in Durban, Joburg and Cape Town, headed by key community members.
Registration begins at 8.30am, and the walks will end in picnic meet-ups already organised by the community.

  • Joburg: Johannesburg Botanical Gardens, Thomas Bowler parking.
  • Cape Town: Green Point Park, West Gate entrance.
  • Durban: Durban Botanical Garden, Main entrance.

All these events will start at 9am, and for those who can’t join us, we’ll make virtual walk materials available so you can join from anywhere in South Africa!

Why?

To celebrate our Sweet Life community.

What do you get if you sign up?

Every community member will get:

💙 A personalised race bib and number.

💙 Your own social media advocacy pack with posts to share on social media and a ribbon/frame for your social media profile.

💙 Reminder email: a mail with tips and inspiration just before the walk, with tips on how to prepare for the walk (invite your friends! Pack your water bottle! Take your vitamin B for extra support!)

💙 A certificate: everyone who participates will get a personalised certificate of participation which they can post to social media with their walk photos.

We’re all in this together, so everyone is invited to join us!
It’s a free, fun, family event.

3 sweet things to share:

  1. Fantastic prizes for the most fun outfit in each city and online.
One person in each city wins a hamper and one online entrant wins a R500 Takealot voucher.
  2. Bring 5 friends, stand a chance to win a lunch for 5 worth R1500.
Each group of 5 who posts a pic online using the hashtag #SweetLifeWalk gets entered to win a fabulous lunch voucher.
  3. A free buff
For the first 20 people to sign up in city.

Looking for more support?

Many people who are part of our community are deficient in Vitamin B12 particularly. Symptoms include tiredness, weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss and constipation – as well as neuropathy. Find out more about Vitamin B and nerve health here.
