How do hypos affect you? Share your experience in this quick survey.


Researchers are trying to better understand the impact of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) on quality of life, and how to best measure it. Help them by answering these quick questions!

Your SAY: Hypoglycaemia

The “Your SAY: Hypoglycemia” study is an international research effort to understand how hypoglycemia affects the quality of life for people with diabetes and their loved ones. The goal is to look at whether it matters how researchers ask questions about quality of life. This project is part of the international Hypo-RESOLVE collaboration, which aims to collect data to better understand and reduce the burden of hypoglycaemia.

This is a great opportunity to share your experiences with hypoglycemia, make your voice heard, and help others affected by diabetes around the world.

The study is an online survey that is available to English-speakers around the world. The survey takes about 30 minutes to complete and consists of some multiple-choice and short answer questions.

Who can complete the survey?

This study is especially interesting since it’s looking at the effects of hypoglycemia among people with Type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as their loved ones. The survey will be open from May until August 2021.

You can use your computer, tablet, or smartphone to access the survey.

You’re eligible to complete the survey if:

  • You have been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes for at least six months, OR
  • You have Type 2 diabetes and have been taking insulin for at least six months, OR
  • You are in a relationship and living with someone with diabetes who meets the above criteria.

You must also be:

  • Over the age of 16.
  • Able to take the survey in English.
