Join the #FingerstickFree movement

#Fingerstickfree is a movement for people with diabetes to get better CGM access.

What is #FingerstickFree all about?

“I’m doing my best to stay alive – and thrive – with Type 1 diabetes. Why won’t my medical aid help me?”

That’s the question these five Type 1s are asking this National Diabetes Month. Join them by raising your voice for the #FingerstickFree movement.

Together, we are making a difference.

This campaign was the first diabetes advocacy project in South Africa, and it was a huge success! Now you can find out which medical aids cover CGMs (as well as what a CGM is!) and you can train to be a diabetes advocate.

Join the #Fingerstickfree movement: CGM access for all

The #FingerstickFree movement was first and foremost a call for all those with Type 1 diabetes (and, in time, Type 2 diabetes) to get CGM cover – in public and private. We rallied together with a petition, and media, and the whole community of South Africans with Diabetes, to make our voices heard.

You can see the whole journey here, on our #FingerstickFree website: https://www.fingerstickfree.org/
